  • Events have limited capacity and must be reserved independently. So don’t be a Lazy Larry - claim your spot today!
  • Is your event fully booked? - Have no fear, waitlist is here! Event entry for waitlisters opens 5 minutes prior to event start time. It’s worth trying, you’ll have a pretty good chance of getting in.
  • A word to the wise - Please show up for events at least 10 minutes prior to event start time. Unclaimed seats will be offered to waitlisters 5 minutes prior to start time.
  • Have your pass handy, as we will scan your QR code when you attend events. But remeber, this pass does not grant you access to the events unless you have signed up!

Kathleen Reid

In 2013, Kathleen Reid was ready to take her public relations career to
the next level. She was thriving in corporate PR, where she amassed
an impressive portfolio of work, including Teck’s Zinc and Health
Program and projects with BC Hydro and the Provincial Health
Services Authority – but something was missing. Having come
from a long line of entrepreneurs, Kathleen was attracted to the
local start-up scene, focusing her attention on the tech ecosystem.
Always the intrepid spirit, Kathleen stepped out on her own, forming
Kathleen Reid Consulting (KRC), a full-service communications
agency serving clients in technology, impact and development.
In the years since, KRC has evolved into Switchboard, a team of
consultants with expertise in communications strategy, crisis
management, copywriting, media relations, event management
and more. With a highly skilled team to support Kathleen’s vision,
she has been proud to serve a collection of emerging tech leaders,
completing projects with Grow, Global Mobile, Faber, Spark, Spring
University and BC Tech.
Kathleen is an active member of Vancouver’s nonprofit community.
She sits on the advisory board for Educating Girls of Rural China and
is a board member for City in Focus. Kathleen is also a member at
BC Tech and the Canadian Public Relations Society. She volunteers
with the Boys & Girls Club of South Coast BC. When Kathleen isn’t at
work, one can find her following local politics, keeping her finger on
the pulse of Vancouver’s startup scene and enjoying BC’s beautiful
hiking trails with her dog, Hogan.
